He was born in Bialystok. He graduated from high school and then from
the medical faculty of St. Petersburg University. He translated into Yiddish: August Bebel, Di urzakhn fun antisemitizm (The reasons
for anti-Semitism) (Minsk: Kultur, 1908), 34 pp. Over the years 1913-1914, he edited and
published: Byalistoker zamlheftn
(Bialystok anthologies), “for local interests”; the periodical Byalistoker vort (Bialystok word); and
the literary collections Legboymer
(Lag ba-Omer), Sfire (Counting the 49
days of the omer), and Shvues
(Shavuot). In 1919 he published Byalistoker erev shabes (Bialystok on Friday
night). He wrote articles, sketches, and
humorous items. He later departed for
Russia, where he practiced medicine.
Further information about him remains unknown.
