DOVID TAYTS (b. 1910)

            He was born in Riga, Latvia.  He attended in a Hebrew high school and studied to be an engineer at the local university.  For a time he was active in Zionist organizations, later involved with the Jewish left which he left after 1937.  He debuted in print with a story entitled “A shlitele” (A little sled) in Frimorgn (Morning) in Riga (1931).  He contributed also to: Yidishe bilder (Jewish images), Unzer vort (Our word), and the collection Riger shriftn (Riga writings) (1936), among others—all in Riga; Tog (Day) in Vilna; and Nayer folksblat (New people’s newspaper) in Lodz; and other serials.  Further information remains unknown.
