KHAYIM
ZHELONI (d. August 1942)
He was born in Kielce, Poland, into
a well-to-do family. He was a prominent
Zionist leader, councilor and for many years secretary of the Jewish community
administration in Kielce. He was editor
of Keltser tsaytung (Kielce
newspaper), in which (1924-1934) he published articles on Jewish and general
issues. He died during the liquidation
of the Kielce ghetto.
